Marc Andre Hamelin is a phenomenal pianist with great technique and precision.
He has been known to record and perform repertoire of obscure and little known composers, and has been a bastion for promoting the music for those who probab;y should have deserved more fame than they received throughout their career. Ornstein, Medtner, Roslavets are composers not as well known as Beethoven or Mozart, however, their music is certainly worth a listen and thnaks to Hamelin, this is now possible.
Recently, Hamelin has been recording the piano music of Haydn - one of the giants of classical music, so alongside previous recordings of Chopin and Schumann, he's also showing how well he interprets the more mainstream composers as well!
